of Pera Online Store, to your home within the continental U.S.Pera derives its name from an elegant neighborhood in Istanbul that has served as the melting pot
for many cultures and cuisines since the 17th century. While our focus is
largely on Turkish recipes, as implied by our name, we acknowledge that some of
the food we serve is the ultimate cultivation of many centuries of inter-cultural
shared recipes and cooking methods, and is therefore shared amongst many
cuisines including North African, eastern European, Greek, Turkish, eastern Mediterranean,
Middle Eastern, Persian, Armenian, Afghani, Central Asian, Pakistani and Indian
cuisines.
Pera Online Store is not your typical online ethnic grocery store, it
specializes in knowledge and labor intensive, hard to prepare at home foods
which are all natural (no preservatives) and fresh (flash frozen immediately
upon preparation). Our signature
packaged food products are Adana Kebabs*, Shish Kebabs** and Lamb Ribs
(Kaburga), all of which we prepare according to authentic Turkish recipes using
only the finest quality lamb and chicken meat.
We also feature a Lamburger (Lamb Burger) which is our deliciously innovative way of combining the most popular eastern
Mediterranean cheese, vegetable and herbs with the most popular of all American
foods, the hamburger.
